A Healthcare Claims Training & Workflow Demo

Healthcare technology for safe, synthetic practice.

Healthcare Claims Practice Lab is an independent educational web project created by Daylise Baber to help learners practice healthcare administrative thinking without using real patient information.

Free public learning tool: This is a free educational tool created for portfolio and training purposes. Anyone may use the public demo to learn from the synthetic practice scenarios. The source code may be publicly viewable for employer and portfolio review, but it is not open-source and may not be copied, republished, modified, redistributed, or used to create derivative projects without written permission. This independent project is not affiliated with or endorsed by any commercial healthcare or claims entity.

Purpose

The project focuses on administrative workflow awareness: checking whether information is present, identifying items that need follow-up, comparing synthetic coverage details, understanding privacy boundaries, and learning to slow down before moving a healthcare workflow forward.

What the app intentionally avoids

This demo does not diagnose, treat, recommend care, submit insurance claims, verify benefits, connect to payer systems, function as an EHR, or provide individualized billing, coding, legal, compliance, tax, or medical advice.

Do not use real data: This public demo is not designed to receive, store, or process protected health information (PHI), personally identifiable patient information, insurance member data, or real claim files.

Original and licensing-conscious design

The interface and training scenarios are original. The app does not reproduce the CMS-1500 form, UB-04 form, proprietary payer forms, CPT descriptions, or the X12 837 implementation specification. Training service and diagnosis references are fictional placeholders and are not billable codes.
